Happy New Year everyone!

We're kickstarting the year with some very exciting news, the brand new library facility has now opened up at Musgrove Park Academy in Taunton!

The Library & Knowledge Service has returned to the Academy from their temporary home at Barton House South, to a brand new, purpose built library facility. The former library space was completely demolished and a new, modern library space, with two floors, built in its place. On the ground floor you will find individual study spaces, complete with power and USB charging facilities, and two bookable study booths for private study, as well as calm and relaxing health and wellbeing corner. On the first floor you will find increased PCs for study and learning, printing/copying facilities and two small group rooms (which can be merged into a larger room) which are bookable for group study and learning. The Library is staffed Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, with 24/7 access available to registered members.

Cate Newell, Library and Knowledge Services Manager said:

“We are delighted to welcome all Somerset NHS Foundation Trust staff, and students on placement, to our brand new library facility. It is a wonderful space, full of natural light, and resources and facilities to support study, learning and research at the Trust. We’ve only been open for one week, and already the feedback from staff and students has been glowing - complimenting how bright and modern it looks, and appreciating the new learning facilities such as the study pods. It is a real flagship for the modern and proactive library and knowledge service we provide, and we hope it becomes a haven for all learners in the Trust.”

Please do pop in and see us!
