Health organisations can apply for a Quality Mark from the Patient Information Forum to show that the information on their sites has been checked by medical professionals to ensure its reliability, and has been tested by members of the public to make sure that it is clear and easy to understand. When the information has passed ten testing criteria, the organisation is awarded a Quality Mark which is reviewed every 3 years.
Approved sites will display the Pif Tick at the bottom of their webpage.
