If you require some support or training with finding, searching and using evidence, you can now book onto one of our regular, small group, online training sessions. We have set these up according to professional interest because different databases are more appropriate according to your profession.

Advanced searches will require use of the native databases which can be accessed through three different interfaces: EBSCO, Ovid and ProQuest. Whilst the principles of creating a search strategy remain the same, each interface has its own syntax and controlled vocabulary. You can request a training session with a librarian and we advise watching the videos below, created by the interface providers to help you.
