BMJ Best Practice is an evidence-based generalist point of care tool, structured around the patient consultation. It contains advice on symptom evaluation, test ordering and treatment approach. It's also UK focused and it's supported by Health Education England. Content includes clinical expertise from over 1,600 international authors and 2,500 peer reviewers.

All NHS Staff have access to the full version online via their OpenAthens account

UpToDate is a leading point of care tool. Updated on a daily basis, UpToDate provide information on more then 10 000 topics in 26 specialities, on drug through a comprehensive database, more than 460 journals titles as well as more than 10 000 guidelines.

UpToDate is accessible on Trust PC, at home and on phones via the dedicated application:

 

To access the application, please create a UpToDate personal account on Trust PCs. Go to 'log in' then click to 'register now', fill up the form and follow on screen instructions. You will need to revalidate regularly on a trust PC.
